Neighborhood Association is a dynamic organization dedicated to providing exceptional services to our community. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Team Lead to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food handling procedures are followed correctly, and supervising a team of food handlers. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that food handlers follow established policies and procedures, including conflict resolution.
  • Oversees a team of food handlers, including recruiting, supervising, and evaluating their performance.
  • Establishes and implements schedules and work assignments for food handlers.
  • Maintains a clean and organized kitchen environment, including refrigerators, freezers, ovens, steam tables, warmers, and pantry.
  • Receives and stores deliveries of food, beverages, supplies, and other related items.
  • Maintains accurate records of food handling procedures and compliance with state regulations.
  • Assists in complying with city, state, and federal building codes and industry standards.
  • Maintains personal appearance, hygiene, and uniform policies and standards.
  • Cares for and uses related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in facility food handling and/or housekeeping, preferably in a residential facility.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Food Handler certificate from NYC/NYS.
  • TB testing with NCS results.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification preferred.
  • Able to operate related equipment, tools, and materials used in the facility.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
