We are seeking a seasoned Culinary Team Lead to support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations. This includes food production, coaching and training, ordering & inventory, and maintaining department of health standards and compliance with all regulations.

Job Overview

As a Culinary Team Lead at Nami Nori, you will be responsible for leading by example and mentoring junior staff members to ensure seamless execution of daily operations. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing menu development, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members to improve their skills and performance
  • Manage inventory and supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed as a Culinary Team Lead at Nami Nori, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or as a Sous Chef
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring junior staff members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food production, inventory management, and safety protocols
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
