Job Description

Role Purpose:

To provide expert strategic advisory services to senior stakeholders, leveraging problem-solving skills and decision-making expertise to drive business growth and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic advisory initiatives to enhance business operations and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business challenges and opportunities, and develop tailored solutions to address them.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform strategic recommendations and drive business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Manage transactions and negotiations, and develop post-transaction integration strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and maintain peer benchmarking to ensure best-in-class strategic advisory services.
Assistant Vice President Expectations:
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on complex business issues, and support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify and mitigate risk, and develop new policies and procedures to support the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to other areas, requiring an understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with other areas to provide business-aligned support and stay up-to-date with business activity and strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources, and communicate complex information effectively.
  • Influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes, and demonstrate the Barclays Values and Mindset.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Finance, or relevant discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to run analysis and research on complex business issues.
  • Experience developing presentations and building financial models.
  • Working knowledge of key trends in financial services.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office solutions, with a focus on PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, internal strategy function, or investment banking.
  • MBA or Advanced Degree from top-tier institutions.
  • Extended knowledge of key trends in financial services.

Location: New York, NY

Salary Range: $100,000 - $139,000
