Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Debt Capital Markets Associate to join our Strategic Advisory Group. The successful candidate will work closely with senior professionals to deliver a wide range of debt-related services to clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities- Originate, structure, and execute financings across the private and public debt markets for sponsor-backed, privately-owned, and public businesses.
- Work closely with clients to evaluate, structure, and recommend financial alternatives across the private and public debt markets.
- Participate in the origination, structuring, and execution of all debt-related deal activity.
- Build financial models, analyze capital structures, and facilitate due diligence and discussions with clients, legal counsel, and advisors.
- Draft client presentations, prepare market updates, and negotiate term sheets.
- Manage internal deal and investor-related databases, including ongoing investor relationship development and management.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-4 years of experience in leveraged finance at a leading investment bank or a leading credit fund
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to write effectively
- A strong background in finance, debt capital markets, accounting, and legal documentation
The expected annualized base salary for this position is $200,000 to $250,000. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners' compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives, and benefits.
