You'll be responsible for overseeing a team of Business Development personnel and Category Managers, and will have the opportunity to participate in data-driven decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Category Management: Oversee the development and management of portfolio team members
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with key industry suppliers
  • Business Development: Drive sales growth and identify new business opportunities
  • Contract Development & Capture: Develop and execute contract capture strategies
  • Unit Level Sales Support: Provide sales support to sales representatives

Performance standards will be measured by customer and supplier satisfaction, hitting annual territory and team goals, team engagement, and overall sales growth.

Travel will be extensive, with approximately 75% of time spent on the road. Occasional weekends, holidays, and after-hours work will also be required.

Minimum requirements include 5+ years of business development experience, 5+ years of experience with US Government contracting and acquisition, and a strong understanding of DoD programmatic customers and operations.

Desired qualifications include a team-oriented mindset, ability to work across business functions, and a critical thinking approach under pressure.
