Job Summary

The Optical Sales Associate plays a critical role in delivering a professional and positive experience for all patients, customers, colleagues, and business partners. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Optical Sales Manager to drive sales, control expenses, and achieve personal and store goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction
    • Engage with patients and customers to fulfill prescriptive eyewear needs
  • Sales and Operations
    • Drive sales and control expenses
    • Execute effective operational and procedural processes
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with the Optical Sales Manager and other team members

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Optical / Retail Skills
    • Experience in optical or retail sales is preferred
  • Sales Ability
    • Ability to connect with customers, uncover their needs, recommend items based on their needs, and educate the customer on their purchases
  • Communication and Customer-Centric Skills
    • Polished and professional communication and customer-centric service skills
  • Technical Skills
    • Able to use POS and computer systems
  • Interpersonal Skills
    • Capable of working with and servicing diverse people
  • Personal Qualities
    • Self-motivation, action-oriented, and a creative problem solver open to feedback and learning
    • Reliability and punctuality in attendance
    • Flexibility for scheduling, and able to work weekends, select holidays, as well as special sales events
