Key Responsibilities:

The Animal Care Division is looking for dedicated individuals to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in various animal enclosures and equipment.

The selected candidates will be tasked with cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing animal cages in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.

Employees will be responsible for daily inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal functionality, following proper procedures in case of malfunctions.

Maintain accurate records of operations and ensure that sterile cages, bedding, and water setups are prepared according to guidelines.

It is essential to keep an adequate supply of sterile cages available for routine and emergency needs.

Unpack and store feed and bedding materials appropriately, while ensuring the workspace remains organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to one hour
  • Prior experience in cleaning or sanitation
  • Comfortable working in proximity to animals
  • Experience in disinfecting surfaces and performing daily inspections to assess supply needs
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and application during cleaning tasks; willingness to wear protective gear as required
  • Ability to observe and respond appropriately to various situations
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience working in a diverse environment is essential
Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in an animal care facility
Typical Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (8 AM to 2 PM)
