Responsibilities

As a home health aide, you will play a vital role in our home care team, working under the guidance of a registered nurse or therapist. Your responsibilities will include providing essential personal care services tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Key duties include:

  1. Delivering personal care services such as:
  • Bathing and grooming
  • Oral hygiene and skin care
  • Assisting with dressing and undressing
  • Maintaining a clean and safe living environment
Preparing and planning nutritious meals. Assisting patients with feeding when necessary. Monitoring and recording vital signs as directed. Supporting patients in mobility and exercise as per care plans. Aiding in medication self-administration. Performing light housekeeping and laundry tasks. Reporting any changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse. Following all organizational protocols for documentation and care standards.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  1. Completion of required training in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Registration on the Home Care Aide Registry is preferred.
  3. Minimum age of 18 years.
  4. Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions.
  5. Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.
  6. Compassionate and empathetic towards patients' needs.
  7. Current CPR certification.
  8. Demonstrated professionalism and personal hygiene.
  9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Experience in home health or hospice care is advantageous.
