Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assist patients with toileting activities and maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, and assist with feeding as needed
  • Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Assist patients with ambulation and exercise, and perform range of motion exercises as ordered
  • Assist patients with self-administration of medication, and perform other tasks as assigned
  • Document patient care and report any changes or concerns to the assigned nurse
Requirements
  • Meet the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
  • Be self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Have empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired
  • Possess and maintain current CPR certification
  • Demonstrate tact, patience, and good personal hygiene
