Equipment Maintenance Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Manufacturing Maintenance Solutions Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, diagrams, sketches, etc.
Key Responsibilities- Perform entry to mid-level break-fix & preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Observe devices in operation to locate root cause of problem; dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examine parts to detect imperfections; adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; test device to observe performance; and perform tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems
- Support and back up other team members as directed by leadership
- Document work and update records in CMMS
- Assure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards
- Provide inputs in CI activities-processes, results, and cost savings
- Set up and operate simple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Perform basic welding tasks
- Up to 3 years of experience in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities
- High school diploma (or equivalent), Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar program is not required but would be strongly encouraged
- Basic mechanical skills with the aptitude to learn advanced skills and electrical skills
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems; analyze information and make an informed decision based on that information; identify root causes and corrective actions; adhere to all safety regulations and policies; and actively participate in job training opportunities for career development
- Experience with Siemens controllers a plus
- Experience working on G&L and Cincinnati machines a plus
- Valid state driver's license, vehicle insurance, and dependable vehicle
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident of U.S.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
