Key Responsibilities:
- Establish the vision for underwriting and onboarding products, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Define, prioritize, and communicate project goals for the short, medium, and long term.
- Engage with stakeholders to discern needs and implement necessary adjustments.
- Oversee and provide clarity on the product backlog and roadmap.
- Forge reliable and reputable partnerships with third-party vendors.
- Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory standards, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for violations.
- Facilitate discussions with engineering teams to guide product development effectively.
- Collaborate across departments, including Risk, Legal, and Finance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking or finance-related sectors (e.g., loans, payments, banking).
- At least 10 years of experience in managing technical products (e.g., platforms, distributed systems, data science, machine learning).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading teams and cross-functional collaborations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and understand their business requirements.
- Experience in translating business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications.
- Ability to define, document, and validate user requirements through various methodologies such as use cases and user stories.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, catering to the needs of the project team.
- Structured approach to backlog prioritization.
- Adherence to standard operating procedures throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring all project activities are documented and organized.
- Capability to build collaborative relationships with other functions.
- Fluency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with underwriting processes and a solid understanding of the credit lifecycle.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks within the financial industry.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
