The Customer Service Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of a Storage Rentals of America property, including any associated annexes. This position emphasizes exceptional customer service, maintaining a pristine facility, and fostering sales growth. The supervisor oversees the retail location in alignment with company protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the company’s sales strategy to address customer storage requirements. Employ active listening skills and clearly communicate features and benefits to guide customers towards the right storage unit. Promote the sale of merchandise and Tenant Property Protection plans.
  • Administer and clarify Lease Agreements to customers.
  • Conduct follow-ups on all inquiries and reservations in accordance with company policies.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and establish strong relationships with clients both in-person and via phone. Proactively manage customer concerns and resolve service-related issues, employing de-escalation techniques to reach suitable solutions.
  • Process payments, manage and reconcile the cash drawer and petty cash, and execute bank deposits following company protocols.
  • Contact tenants with overdue accounts in line with the company’s collection procedures.
  • Complete Daily Checklist tasks, which include opening and closing procedures, conducting lock checks, preparing tenant correspondence, generating and analyzing required reports, ordering supplies, and ensuring merchandising standards are upheld.
  • Perform cleaning and minor maintenance tasks on the property to guarantee units are ready for rental and that the grounds meet cleanliness standards.
  • Utilize various software systems, including Microsoft Office, Sitelink, Jira, Call Potential, and Dashboard. Input data and execute necessary processes.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service. Ideal candidates will have a background in customer-facing roles, particularly in sales-oriented environments such as retail, hospitality, car rental, collections, or call centers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with software programs is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
  • A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Working Conditions

Ability to operate in both office and storage facility settings during standard business hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary. Responsible for general property maintenance, both indoors and outdoors, under various weather conditions.

  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to reach, push, pull, kneel, bend, and lift.
  • Perform cleaning and light maintenance tasks indoors and outdoors.
  • Manual dexterity is required for operating POS systems, copiers, and completing paperwork.
  • Ability to navigate various websites and industry-specific software.
  • Effective typing and communication skills in email correspondence.
