Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the District Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

The Retail Operations Leader is tasked with ensuring customer satisfaction and operational success through the following:

o Sales and Customer Engagement: Develops and implements financial strategies to meet key performance indicators. Ensures exceptional Customer experiences by executing and refining the Manager on Duty (MOD) role. Coaches the team on the connection between service excellence and business outcomes. Provides leadership, constructive feedback, and recognition to enhance financial performance while supporting the company's Service Model and Mission. Maintains effective communication and optimal staffing to adapt to customer traffic and market trends. Responds promptly to customer feedback.

o Team Development: Responsible for timely recruitment and onboarding of managers and associates. Continuously assesses team performance and provides coaching, training, and development opportunities to foster individual growth. Encourages personal development and leadership skill enhancement. Manages daily associate relations and oversees the annual performance review process.

o Visual Merchandising: Ensures the store's visual presentation aligns with the Designer Shoe Warehouse brand image. Monitors business trends and communicates relevant information to the District Manager. Guarantees compliance with established brand standards.

o Operational Management: Optimizes resources to achieve financial targets. Leads by example, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Effectively collaborates with business partners to resolve issues with enthusiasm. Recognizes when to adjust strategies to maintain optimal results. Educates the team on the importance of operational integrity in delivering exceptional Customer experiences. Oversees daily store maintenance, inventory management, and cleanliness. Utilizes monthly operational assessments to identify and rectify deficiencies.

o Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned by the District or Regional Manager.

Physical Requirements:

 The physical demands of this role include:

o Frequent movement and standing, including assisting customers and team members throughout the store. Ability to spend significant time on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

o Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.

o Engaging in various physical activities such as operating a scanning device, processing transactions, lifting and bagging merchandise, as well as bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, stretching, and reaching.

o Manual dexterity for tasks such as affixing price tags, writing information, and operating various devices.
