Job Description

Job Title: Restaurant General Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our drive-in restaurant team. As a Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience, and driving sales growth through effective management of our team and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Train Restaurant Staff: Supervise, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff, including crew members, carhops, and skating carhops.
  • Drive-In Restaurant Operations: Direct and assign restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards, including food preparation, customer service, and restaurant maintenance.
  • Employee Compliance and Development: Adhere to and monitor employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies, and practices, and provide coaching and development opportunities to improve performance.
  • Restaurant Inventory and Supplies: Monitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels, place orders for food, paper, and other supplies within cost control procedures, and ensure that all inventory is accurately tracked and recorded.
  • Customer Service and Feedback: Reinforce a customer service mentality and ensure that all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times, and immediately and respectfully resolve guest requests and complaints.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels and ensure that all new hires are properly trained and integrated into the team.
  • Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement a marketing plan to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement, and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), with experience running shifts without supervision.
  • Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Basic Accounting and Computer Skills: Basic accounting and computer skills, with the ability to accurately track and record inventory, sales, and other data.
