Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our drive-in restaurant team. As a Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience, and driving sales growth through effective management of our team and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and Train Restaurant Staff: Supervise, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff, including crew members, carhops, and skating carhops.
- Drive-In Restaurant Operations: Direct and assign restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards, including food preparation, customer service, and restaurant maintenance.
- Employee Compliance and Development: Adhere to and monitor employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies, and practices, and provide coaching and development opportunities to improve performance.
- Restaurant Inventory and Supplies: Monitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels, place orders for food, paper, and other supplies within cost control procedures, and ensure that all inventory is accurately tracked and recorded.
- Customer Service and Feedback: Reinforce a customer service mentality and ensure that all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times, and immediately and respectfully resolve guest requests and complaints.
- Restaurant Employment and Payroll: Complete and maintain all drive-in restaurant employment-related records and payroll records, and ensure that all employees are accurately paid and benefits are administered in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement a marketing plan to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement, and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), with experience running shifts without supervision.
- Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices, leadership and supervisory practices and skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and basic accounting and computer skills.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions, ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Appearance and Uniform Standards: Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards at SONIC.
