Position Overview

The Tenet-AZ Region is currently in search of a Lead Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room for a vital role in our healthcare team.

As a level 1 trauma center, Abrazo West provides a multi-specialty operating room environment with the flexibility of self-scheduling for both regular and on-call shifts. Charge positions come with a flexible schedule and no on-call duties.

In this role, you will take on leadership responsibilities within the assigned surgical services line, delivering expert nursing care in intraoperative settings while also covering pre-operative and post-anesthesia care as necessary. Key duties include:

  • Anticipating physician needs and maintaining preference cards.
  • Training new staff members.
  • Coordinating with Supply Chain Management and other departments to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Scrubbing and circulating as required.
  • Collaborating with physicians to understand their preferences regarding room setup and operational requirements.

Please note that this position requires on-call availability, and candidates must reside within a specified radius.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years of operating room experience
Preferred Experience: 5 years of operating room experience
Required Certifications: Current RN license in Arizona or a compact state
Preferred Certifications: CNOR
Special Skills: Ability to perform under pressure and learn physician preferences effectively.
