The Operating Room Lead will assume a pivotal role in overseeing the surgical services line. This position involves delivering professional nursing care in the intraoperative setting, with responsibilities extending to pre-operative and post-anesthesia care as necessary. Key duties include:
- Anticipating the needs of physicians and maintaining preference cards.
- Training new staff members and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
- Coordinating with Supply Chain Management and other departments to guarantee adequate supply levels.
- Scrubbing and circulating as required, while also floating to other areas as needed.
- Collaborating with surgeons to understand their preferences regarding room setup and operational requirements.
This role requires participation in on-call duties, with a residency within a 30-mile radius being mandatory.
QualificationsMinimum Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in an operating room setting
Preferred Experience: 5 years in an operating room setting
Required Certifications: Current RN license in Arizona or a compact state
Preferred Certifications: CNOR
Special Skills: Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations, demonstrating diplomacy and a keen understanding of physician preferences.
