Position SummaryThe RN OR Specialty Team Lead is responsible for overseeing an assigned surgical services line. This role involves delivering professional nursing care within the intraoperative setting, as well as covering pre-operative and post-anesthesia care as necessary. Key responsibilities include:
- Anticipating physician needs and maintaining preference cards.
- Training new staff members.
- Coordinating with Supply Chain Management, Environmental Services, and Central Sterile Processing to ensure adequate supplies.
- Scrubbing and circulating as required.
- Collaborating with Physicians and Surgeons to understand preferences regarding room setup and operating conditions.
On-call duties are part of this position, and candidates must reside within a 30-mile radius.
QualificationsMinimum Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years of operating room experience
Preferred Experience: 5 years of operating room experience
Required Certifications: Current RN license in Arizona or a compact state
Preferred Certifications: CNOR
Special Skills: Ability to perform under pressure and act with diplomacy, while learning and applying physician preferences in the workplace.
