Position Overview:
The Business and Professions Division (BPD) is seeking a Licensing Services Manager who possesses strong leadership abilities and expertise in data reporting to join our dynamic team.
As one of the most visible state agencies, we interact with over 6 million residents and manage nearly $3 billion in taxes and fees each year. We recognize the critical role our services play in enabling our customers to live, work, drive, and thrive.
This role is essential in ensuring that applications are processed efficiently, turning business aspirations into reality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between staff and management while overseeing data collection for report submissions.
- Stay informed about current statutes, administrative codes, policies, and procedures relevant to assigned licensing programs.
- Collaborate with a fellow Licensing Services Manager to provide guidance, manage workflows, and coach staff while utilizing licensing systems and data visualization tools.
- Support both internal and external stakeholders by evaluating and reporting on identified system errors and change requests.
- Recommend and interpret laws, administrative rules, and policies related to business programs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a licensing or regulatory environment.
- At least three (3) years of experience supervising staff, providing guidance, and coaching through transitions.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in database analysis, including customer relationship management systems.
- Knowledge of state licensing and regulatory processes.
A bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, social or behavioral science, or a related field is preferred.
