Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Amcor plc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership: Act as a safety leader and prioritize safety in all responsibilities, working closely with the EHS Manager to establish and maintain policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintenance Planning: Assist in the specification of production equipment and the selection, purchase, and installation of equipment into the plant.
  • Contractor Management: Monitor contractor safety performance and coordinate contractor activities when assigned.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is maintained and in good working condition by scheduling timely and routine preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
  • Facilities Management: Responsible for grounds, building, and parking lot maintenance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and supervise maintenance technicians, providing necessary employee development and training.
  • Security and Emergency Systems: Ensure security, fire, and emergency systems are fully operational, routinely tested, and inspected.
  • Financial Management: Review and sign all invoices and approve purchase orders for the maintenance department.
  • Utility Management: Responsible for tracking and monitoring facility utilities and implementing energy-saving initiatives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Act as an interface between maintenance, manufacturing, contractors, and engineering, scheduling internal maintenance work orders and coordinating with outside vendors.
  • Performance Management: Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, establish priorities, and conduct annual performance appraisals.
  • Culture and Values: Promote a strong safety culture and demonstrate adherence to all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures, as well as Bemis Core Values.
  • Policy Enforcement: Facilitate and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Business Performance: Meet or exceed plant business plan and KPIs, integrating CI initiatives into the culture of the plant.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or engineering field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of previous supervisory experience is required, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in facility maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
