What's involved in this role:
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising shipping & receiving, warehouse transfers, and distribution activities.
- Managing the re-pack facility and staff.
- Ensuring effective communication with transportation, customer service, and other departments to maintain a smooth workflow and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring staffing levels to ensure optimal efficiency in product receipt, shipment, and transfer.
- Certifying and training forklift operators in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Overseeing the receipt of finished goods into inventory for production.
- Coordinating daily transportation of finished goods and raw materials to and from third-party warehouses.
- Managing the forklift maintenance program, including inspections and emergency repairs.
- Approving schedules and time cards, and providing backup support for the Warehouse Manager.
- Operating and moving tractor/trailers within the yard as necessary.
What you need to join our team:
- Experience with SAP is required.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a distribution or shipping & receiving environment is essential.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Forklift certification is required.
- A current Class A CDL with airbrake/tanker endorsement is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
