About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team at Zenius Corporation, a HUBZone-certified small business based in Leesburg, Virginia. As a key member of our financial management team, you will be responsible for providing accounting and administrative support for our agency's financial activity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide accounting support for monthly closings, periodic reviews, and annual audits
• Ensure general ledger funds and financial reports are accurate
• Record and maintain capital assets in the financial software
• Prepare periodic invoices/bills to external grant funding agencies
• Monitor and track capital expenditures to ensure fiscal compliance of grant contracts
• Assist departments with financial assessments of grants projects
• Assist with cash management by tracking cash balances and cash flow
• Manage records created and received in compliance with the Hampton Roads Transit Records Management Policies and Procedures

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Previous experience in grant administration preferred
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and excellent time-management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite programs and financial software applications
