About the Role

This Black Belt position will be focused on driving continuous improvement by leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify inefficiencies, develop improvement strategies, and drive operational excellence within Pilot Company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead two lean six sigma projects annually with measured benefits, ensuring significant improvements in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage projects and problem-solving with lean six sigma tools such as DMAIC, Kaizen, PDCA, and 5S, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities, support projects, and influence business decisions, providing data-driven insights to drive strategic growth.
  • Mentor and coach Green Belts within the department and across the organization, developing a community of continuous improvement professionals.
  • Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events and guide lean six sigma practices for the organization, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project success and alignment, building strong relationships with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Ensure successful rollout and results of new projects and processes, measuring and evaluating the impact of improvements.
  • Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose, ensuring guests and team members are supported at the highest level, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining a culture of integrity and accountability.
  • Complete other duties as assigned, adapting to the evolving needs of the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, business management, engineering, or information technology required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in lean six sigma required, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
Specialized Knowledge
  • Advanced analytical skills required (Excel, Tableau, or other), with expertise in data analysis and visualization.
  • Intermediate Tableau or Power BI experience preferred, with the ability to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Intermediate project management skills required, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to effectively lead project teams, meetings, and Kaizen events, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train and teach lean six sigma concepts across the organization, with a passion for sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships, building relationships with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, with a collaborative and inclusive approach to work.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with different levels of the organization to complete projects, with strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
Travel and Working Conditions
  • Travel required less than 25%, with occasional overnight stays.
  • General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time, with a focus on maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
