Job Title: Facilities Services Manager

At Oakwood Village, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Services Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in facilities operations, maintenance, and management.

Job Summary:

The Facilities Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning properly and efficiently. This includes managing maintenance schedules, overseeing budgeting and procurement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and supervision to direct reports, ensuring that they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct effective staff scheduling and payroll management functions, ensuring that the department is adequately staffed and that all employees are properly compensated.
  • Oversight of computerized maintenance management system and associated workflows, including development of and adherence to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure uninterrupted operation of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Responsible for oversight of applicable services agreements and contracts, ensuring that all agreements are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure facility-related compliance and required documentation for CMS & state regulations, life safety code, and emergency operations.
  • Creation, oversight, and responsibility for facility services operational budget(s), following Oakwood policies related to procurement.
  • Creation of equipment and infrastructure replacement schedules for capital planning, providing recommendations for capital budget planning and project management for approved capital budget expenditures.
  • Ensure a high level of customer services and quality outcomes for customers.
Requirements:
  • Provides leadership that fosters a team approach in meeting the mission of Oakwood and the department.
  • Knowledge of facilities operations, HVAC and equipment maintenance practices for electrical, plumbing and mechanical operations.
  • Exercises superior judgment and makes sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to maintenance operations of healthcare facilities.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn skills related to the job and ability to develop those skills to assure quality of services at Oakwood.
  • Handles confidential information.
  • Effectively communicates with both staff members and residents.
  • Willing and able to accept flexibility in work schedule.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, work management and project management applications.
