Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant- CHI Surgery Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant to join our team at the Children\u2019s Heart Institute. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced provider care and clinical guidance to patients and their families, as well as the ancillary care team, regarding pre-operative and post-operative management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric acute care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our team of physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting complex patient evaluations and assessments
- Providing appropriate treatment, including monitoring and ordering medications
- Coordinating and directing patient care plans
- Assisting in collecting patient histories and providing guidance and preventative health care as needed
- Performing physical examinations and providing episodic care or problem-oriented care under the supervision of a physician
- Ordering appropriate laboratory, diagnostic, and radiographic tests and interpreting results
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing chart documentation for review and counter signature by the physician

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or specialty certification as required by department

Preferred qualifications include experience in pediatric acute care and a strong background in clinical skills.
