Job Title: Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner- CHI Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Children's Heart Institute. As a key member of our pediatric and congenital heart surgery team, you will provide advanced provider care and clinical guidance to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct complex patient care procedures and provide specialized care to patients with congenital heart disease.
  • Perform independent and physician-supervised rounding on the unit, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Assess patients, provide treatment, and coordinate care plans under the supervision of a physician.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and education to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and inform attending physicians of pertinent medical information.
Requirements:
  • Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse and APRN-NP.
  • Current specialty certification as required by the department.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or specialty certification as required by the department.
  • Masters in Nursing as NP or completion of a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program.
