Job Summary

The Director of Operations – Occupational Therapy Program is a key leadership position at Edgewood College, responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program. This role requires a strong understanding of business operations, budget management, and personnel administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement operational plans to support the OTD Program's goals and objectives.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the program, including budgeting, personnel, and facilities.
  • Lab Intensive Sessions
    • Plan and manage the onsite lab intensive sessions for the OTD Program.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Manage the preventative maintenance schedule for all OTD Program equipment.
  • Advisory Role
    • Advise and support the Program Chair, Directors, and Faculty regarding operational, budgetary, personnel, and facilities matters.
  • Communication and Liaison
    • Serve as the central contact with institutional and departmental administration on operational, budgetary, personnel, and facilities matters.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and surveys for data analysis and monitoring of all financial resources, including operations, personnel, and revenue.
  • Compliance and Governance
    • Ensure compliance with institution and school personnel and fiscal policies.
  • Meetings and Collaboration
    • Attend OTD Program faculty and staff meetings as appropriate.
  • Curriculum Support
    • Support the Director of Curriculum as needed in curriculum planning and scheduling.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Chair or other senior administrators.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the Director of Operations – Occupational Therapy Program must possess:

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Master's degree preferred
  • Work Experience
    • Higher education administration experience
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and fiscal management
    • Knowledge of facilities management
    • Knowledge of human resources management practices
    • Ability to respond to changing priorities and crisis situations
