Automation Technician, Mid-Continent

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Automation Technician is responsible for enhancing revenue within the designated territory by offering support and technical knowledge throughout the complete sales process. This includes pre-sales assistance, effectively communicating OleumTech's value proposition to secure business, and providing post-sales support, which encompasses on-site field assistance. The Automation Technician plays a crucial role in the OleumTech sales team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver pre-sales and post-sales assistance to meet sales objectives within the assigned territory.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships across all levels of customer organizations, aiming to become a trusted advisor and expert on OleumTech's product offerings and applications.
  • Engage with customers to support all facets of business development.
  • Assist customers in the field with OleumTech implementations and troubleshooting.
  • Present technical demonstrations of OleumTech's unique solutions during customer meetings, training sessions, conferences, and seminars.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and company-sponsored events.
  • Collaborate with team members to address customer challenges and document best practices to enhance overall team performance.
  • Maintain records of customer visits and interactions using the company's CRM tool.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations with minimal notice.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize, schedule, and complete tasks efficiently. You possess knowledge and experience in industrial instrumentation and wireless technologies, along with effective verbal and written communication skills. A BA/BS degree in a technical or scientific discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred.
