Job Summary:

1901 Inc. is a leading provider of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional applications. We utilize cutting-edge technology and innovation to maximize value and reduce costs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate and bid on fire sprinkler projects to ensure accurate pricing and timely completion.
  • Develop and track project schedules, including trade manpower loading, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Perform job cost tracking and forecasting to help determine final project costs and identify areas for cost savings.
  • Coordinate with internal staff to develop submittals, shop drawings, BIM models, and field coordination drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Procure necessary equipment and materials to support project execution.
  • Attend and participate in job meetings as required for each project to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Inspect the job site regularly to ensure contract compliance, workmanship, and safety standards are met.
  • Estimate changes in the scope of work to ensure accurate pricing and timely completion.
  • Procure and manage project subcontractors and equipment vendors to ensure high-quality services and materials.
  • Follow up on any required warranty work and maintain contact with the business owner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, building owners, installers, and suppliers to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Manage projects from $25,000 to $5M, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the construction process and its complexities.
  • Knowledge of fire protection systems and code requirements to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in project management of fire sprinkler projects in a commercial contractor setting or owner-direct projects.
  • Experience in fire sprinkler design using HydraCad, BIM, and Navisworks is preferred but not required.

Additional Skills:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Navisworks, Accubid, and Microsoft Project to support project execution and management.
