Job Title: Power System Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power System Engineer to join our team at PRI Global. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems for our data centers and other critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, backup power systems, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications for electrical systems, including IEC and NEMA standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet business requirements and are properly integrated with other infrastructure components.
  • Perform site surveys and assessments to identify electrical system needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement electrical system maintenance and testing procedures to ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in electrical engineering and infrastructure design.

Requirements:

  • 7-8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems and infrastructure design.
  • Outstanding proficiency with AutoCAD/AutoDesk tools and other electrical design software.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles of infrastructure architecture, including space planning, air flow, and cooling systems.
  • Knowledge of telecom central offices, data centers, collocations, and remote hut environments, including engineering principles regarding power and other infrastructure.
  • Understanding of optical network design, installation, and maintenance for service providers or enterprise networks.
  • Experience with field-based work in POPs, carrier hotels, data centers, and central office environments.
  • Technical knowledge of various regional data center electrical and cooling configurations, IEC, NEMA standards, AC/DC power, power redundancy scenarios.
  • Basic knowledge of optical theory, transport technologies, and the operation of optical transport systems.
  • Analytical, interpersonal, and communications experience.
