We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at ComforceHealth. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing low and medium voltage power systems and serving as the primary technical interface for the equipment assigned to you.
Key Responsibilities- Design, program, troubleshoot, and commission job functions to support products and achieve customer goals.
- Create drawing packages for the manufacturing of custom switchgear and switchboards to applicable industry standards.
- Support production during the product construction and testing by answering technical inquiries.
- Work with mechanical designers to layout and create rough front views/plan views of switchgear and switchboards.
- Select components and create detailed bills of materials for our products.
- Write sequence of operation documents to define automatic system functionality.
- Engineers are expected to take a project from the design conception stage through the manufacturing process and further to project completion.
- Often work on larger projects that range from ($300k to $40 million).
- Complete short field assignments where design consultation is required (generally less than 3 days at a time and not to exceed 10% of total time).
- Advanced understanding of electrical engineering principles and theories as they apply to power industry and switchgear.
- Experienced in utilizing AutoCAD for electrical design.
- Advanced understanding of mechanical layout and considerations.
- Project/Task management and the ability to carry out a plan that moves a task to completion.
- Ability to interact directly with customers, sales, other technical resources, and management.
- Technical writing.
- Education: Four year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a related field.
- Previous field service experience, knowledge, and understanding is a big plus.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
- Significant experience with Autocad drafting software.
- Industrial automation experience is a big plus.
- Competitive salary range: $110K – 130K.
