Territory Development Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Territory Development Representative to join our team in the Northeast region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and develop their career in sales.
About the RoleThe Territory Development Representative will play a crucial role in supporting our Specimen Management Consultants (SMC) and Clinical Specialists (CS) in achieving sales objectives through targeted customer engagement, negotiation, contracting, training, and general sales support. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to BD's Specimen Management portfolio and develop a thorough understanding of the laboratory, nursing, and medical device industries. As a Territory Development Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the regional sales team in gaining exposure to US healthcare, specifically laboratory, nursing, and physician engagement.
- Completing sales training to learn the IDS portfolio and provide effective support to field associates.
- Protecting and growing the Specimen Management (SM) portfolio.
- Providing customers with product information, data insights, clinical education, and product training.
- Informing customers of new and current pricing, backorder management, and company policies.
- Executing comprehensive in-service of SM products to all concerned individuals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- 1-2 years of outside sales experience or equivalency.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
- Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
- Good judgment and professional behavior.
- Bachelor knowledge of Laboratory, Nursing, and Medical Device industry.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively build and sustain professional relationships with hospital, other sales, and corporate office personnel.
In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for growth and development within our organization. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
