Position Overview:
We are in search of a CLINICAL NURSE II for our Urogynecology department to play a vital role within our healthcare team, delivering both direct and indirect patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during procedures, provide patient care, and conduct pre and post-operative education.
- Manage telephone and electronic medical record triage, offer medical guidance, process refill requests, complete necessary documentation, and schedule patient appointments.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, conduct on-site laboratory tests, and administer medications as per physician directives.
- Plan, deliver, and document nursing care in accordance with established protocols and under the supervision of nursing leadership.
- Gather and assess patient data, formulate nursing care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
- Ensure a safe care environment by monitoring equipment and resources.
- Engage in professional development by maintaining competencies and pursuing educational opportunities.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required.
- Registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete it within five years.
- A minimum of 12 months of RN experience is required; less experienced candidates may be considered at the discretion of management.
- Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina is mandatory. BLS certification is also required.
This position operates on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with no weekend or holiday obligations.
