Claims Review Specialist - Managed Care Providers

A leading healthcare organization is in search of a Claims Review Specialist to perform comprehensive reviews of claims and billing processes, manage denial resolutions, and oversee transactions involving Medicare, Medi-Cal, and various Commercial Payers. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of relevant experience within a Health Plan, IPA, or similar Managed Care entity. The organization provides a supportive work environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $40/hr
  • Employment Type: W2

  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Temporary Assignment

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in billing, claims processing, and denial management, including the verification and maintenance of provider data and contract configurations within a managed care system.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Health Plan, IPA, or other Managed Care Organization.
  • Relevant coding certifications (CPC, CPCH, AHIMA, etc.).
  • Experience with EPIC software.
  • Familiarity with managed care transaction systems such as EPIC (Tapestry Module), EZ Cap, Facets, or QNXT.
  • Knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-9/ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Ability to interpret complex instructions in various formats, including provider contracts.
  • Strong attention to detail in data entry within a complex Managed Care Transaction System.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing tight deadlines and multiple tasks while ensuring high-quality output.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong internet navigation skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Openness to learning new technologies and methodologies.
