Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team as a Diabetes Educator and Nutrition Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide diabetes education, information, and training to patients, family, staff, and community, responding to individualized needs in accordance with current policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver diabetes education and training to patients, family, staff, and community
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care
  • Stay up-to-date with current policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related science
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Licensed by the state of North Carolina to practice dietetics
  • 2 years of experience as an RD in diabetes or related field (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
  • 15 diabetes credit hours annually

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
  • Knowledge, ability, and skills to support diabetes education to accommodate cultural diversity, age-specific, or behavioral needs
