Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee our company's procurement activities, including fabrics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet the company's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and improve efficiency.
  • Source and evaluate vendors based on quality, price, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs.
  • Manage and ensure all raw material receivers are processed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Oversee the procurement process from order placement to delivery.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Net incoming orders and correct exceptions.
  • Process inventory usage, including cycle counts and adjustments, disposal reports, WIP movements, and inactive inventory reports.
  • Payable - vendors and 3-way matching
  • Inventory management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to drive performance metrics.
Experience/Certifications/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience in the furniture industry preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Sr. Purchasing Buyer.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles.
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts and vendor management.
Organizational Relationship

Reports to VP of Operations for Kravet Inc.

Travel Requirements

Less than 5%.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Must be able to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and climb in order to maintain equipment.
