Job Description

Cleaver-Brooks is seeking a skilled Panel Shop Assembler to join our team in Thomasville, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly of control panels, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain productivity levels according to plant goals and adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
  • Properly report labor and interpret instructions, schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Read and interpret assembly parts lists, mount back panel devices, and wire per schematics.
  • Lay out and wire control panels, make terminations/connections, and fasten wiring.
  • Know how and where to mount components, inspect and test completed units, and tag or mark identifying information on parts.
  • Cut, trim, and strip wire, inspect parts for flaws and imperfections, and position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Measure dimensions/clearance of parts and train others to install, use, or maintain equipment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education preferred.
  • Read and write English, able to read tape measure, and lifting less than 25lbs.
  • Ability to use small hand tools, a team player who can patiently work independently, and detailed-oriented and customer-focused.
  • Simple computer skills to enter data and open files as required.

Working Conditions and Hazards:

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear. The employee may periodically need to stoop down. There is no exposure to hazardous material or conditions. Work requires a few simple, but rapid, hand operations, lifting and pushing/pulling of material as required to count, sort, reconcile, prepare, put away, or ship parts.
