Purpose:

As a key member of the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield team, this role provides critical support to the Executive Vice President and divisional leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, strategy, and planning for the department, including maintaining division priorities, internal and external communication, reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis to support leadership decision-making, presenting findings and recommendations as needed.
  • Develop and implement process improvements within the division, collaborating with internal partners to ensure effective communication and workload management.
  • Create and maintain departmental communications, policies, and procedures, as well as coordinate internal reporting requirements and develop presentations for upper management.
  • Coordinate the development and review of the administrative expense budget, monthly expense analysis, and expense forecasting, as well as acquisition and personnel performance data.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with division members, staying up-to-date on division strategy and goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience. 6 years of experience in business, healthcare, or related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, project planning, and life cycle development. Excellent communication and training skills.
