Role Summary

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to oversee dedicated supplier relationships, ensuring optimal contractual terms, pricing, and delivery while maintaining high levels of internal customer satisfaction. This role encompasses the complete supplier relationship management process, from Request for Proposal (RFP) through contract execution and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities of a Strategic Sourcing Specialist include:


• Oversee the entire lifecycle of supplier relationships, which includes:


• Development of bidder lists, Request for Quotation (RFQ), bid analysis, selection, negotiations, preparation and presentation of Deal Reviews, contract awards, documentation of the bidding process, and Purchase Order (PO) issuance and fulfillment.


• Manage supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality metrics.


• Monitor delivery statuses and commitments.


• Facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) documentation between suppliers and internal teams.


• Lead supplier recovery planning and execution as necessary.


• Define, present, and implement supplier strategies to ensure the best overall value, including consistent adherence to schedules and quality standards.


• Manage and lead negotiations on claims and special projects as required.


• Track engineering change activities and coordinate the detailed overlap process with suppliers.


• Communicate and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal, and Manufacturing.


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Procurement function towards best practices.


• Advise functional managers on approaches, processes, and procedures within the supply base.

Requirements:


• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business) with 1-3 years of relevant experience is required. Alternatively, candidates with a High School Diploma and at least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Purchasing will be considered.

Desired Characteristics:


• Proficiency in sourcing machined, sheet metal, and/or plastic components.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.


• Willingness to travel as needed.


• Advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.


• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) tools.


• Effective leadership capabilities.


• Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.
