Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Office of the AVP for Strategy & Analysis and directly managing a team of 5 full-time employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and direction to the Office of the AVP for Strategy & Analysis, ensuring alignment with the university's overall strategic goals.
  • Financial Analysis: Develop and implement sophisticated predictive financial models and business plans for key priorities and initiatives.
  • Business Development: Identify internal and external opportunities to facilitate strategic growth, enhance operational efficiency, and support the organization's long-term financial objectives.
  • Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including divisional business officers and university administration teams, to facilitate effective strategic planning and analysis.
  • Reporting: Oversee quarterly financial reporting on major philanthropic initiatives as well as ad-hoc requests from key philanthropic partners; ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree in finance, business, public administration or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Financial analysis, project management, and/or consulting experience desired with 10+ years of related work experience demonstrating increasing responsibility and direct supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to independently manage complex, large-scale projects from start to finish; drives for results, proactively seeks creative solutions to challenges and gaps in information.
