Essential Qualifications
  • Proficiency or understanding in optics, laser technology, software applications, robotics, precision mechanical capabilities, or chemical processes is essential.
  • Familiarity with the Linux operating system is advantageous for system operation and troubleshooting.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (including technical training, military training, or technical school) along with 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Practical mechanical skills are necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing instruments is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently on equipment while collaborating with fellow engineers in a team-oriented environment under challenging conditions.
  • Additional expertise or knowledge in optics, laser technology, software applications, robotics, precision mechanical skills, or chemical processes is a plus.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, are required.
  • Experience in customer support is beneficial.
Additional Information
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible work schedules is necessary.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment for extended periods (wearing full cleanroom attire, including facemask, gloves, and safety glasses).
  • Domestic travel may be necessary (a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required). Compliance with company safety policies and guidelines is essential for this role.
  • This position demands continuous physical effort, including standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted. Lifting over 25 pounds requires assistance. The employee may need to work at a computer for prolonged periods and must be able to hear and comprehend speech at normal levels and on the telephone. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial. Mental alertness is imperative. The employee is expected to maintain knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. Working in a cleanroom environment necessitates wearing protective clothing. Exposure to atmospheric conditions such as dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures (within OSHA standards) may occur.
