Senior Process Equipment Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Etch Equipment Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing tools within a dynamic production environment. This position is vital for supporting wafer fabrication by achieving and surpassing equipment availability and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee maintenance resources and activities to optimize manufacturing support for designated equipment.
  • Implement effective project management strategies for tool installations and performance validation.
  • Create comprehensive maintenance documentation for assigned equipment.
  • Lead efforts for tool recovery during critical downtimes and unusual situations.
  • Promote continuous enhancements in equipment performance, safety protocols, quality assurance, and cost management.
  • Monitor and report on equipment availability, particle trends, maintenance effectiveness, and other relevant metrics.
  • May provide oversight for the activities of technicians in the area as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production objectives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment is required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with the following semiconductor manufacturing tools is highly advantageous:

  • AMAT P5000 and Centura 5200 Etchers
  • LAM Rainbow, 4400, 4500, 9600, or Alliance Etchers
  • Semitool Magnum
  • Gasonics Ashers
  • Ulvac Ashers
  • TEL Unity Etchers

Familiarity with various metrology tools, particularly KLA-Tencor, is a plus.

Experience with standard 200mm equipment installation and operation.

Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, and established engineering practices.

Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Ability to prepare and deliver technical reports effectively.

Strong technical aptitude.
