Job Title: Senior Avionics Engineer

At Blue Origin, we're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Engineer to join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support the electrical design, manufacturing, and testing for the New Glenn rocket assembly processes.
  • Translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and of New Glenn.
  • Identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules.
  • Create, interpret, and modify work instructions and routings to convey procedures to technicians and trigger material planning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 4+ direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
  • Ability to develop processes compliant to industry quality systems such as AS9100
  • Extremely customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances
