Job Overview
Position Summary

A Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for executing administrative functions to facilitate and enhance the operations of the distribution center. This includes overseeing the flow of goods, tracking inventory, and ensuring the accuracy of shipments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedules optimal times for order pickups and shipments
  • Monitors inventory logs and product movements
  • Initiates orders to activate inventory allocation and dispatch
  • Confirms stock levels to ensure replenishment zones are adequately supplied
  • Records activities by completing necessary forms, reports, and logs
  • Maintains and updates databases
  • Handles phone inquiries and provides assistance as needed
  • Utilizes experience and judgment to achieve objectives
  • Engages in a variety of tasks as required
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 0-4 years in logistics or a related field

Special Skills:
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous. Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel. Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.

Work Environment:
Distribution Center setting. Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills:
Knowledgeable in various industry concepts, practices, and procedures. Requires a degree of creativity and flexibility. Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding instructions.
