Job Summary

UTRS Advanced Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Perform inspections of purchased parts, intricate first article parts, and in-process and final inspections.
  • Apply basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing systems.
  • Initiate rejection reports for non-conforming materials and ensure proper completion of required documentation in accordance with departmental and ISO requirements.
  • Work with 3D solid modeling CAD software like SolidWorks.
  • Compare parts to CAD models.
  • Reverse Engineer.
  • Maintain lot control for short production runs.
  • Perform inspections using manual CMM, SME, optical comparator, gages, and inspection system.
  • Complete inspection records, non-conforming material reports, and assemble material certification packages.
Requirements
  • Five years or more experience programming and operating CMM's a plus, but not required.
  • College degree a plus, but not required.
  • Understanding of ASQ sampling standards a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of GD&T.
  • Thorough knowledge of metal parts manufacturing operations.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks desirable.
  • Ability to work well with and train other employees.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
