Job Summary

We are seeking a Strategic Product Marketing Director to drive the growth and success of our Sumo Logic Security portfolio. This is a senior-level role that requires a deep understanding of product marketing, partner marketing, and sales engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic marketing plans through engagement with product management, sales, and other marketing teams.
  • Design and develop partner-facing sales and marketing collateral, including presentations, benchmarks, blogs, white papers, videos, and field training courses.
  • Support customer meetings and training.
  • Deliver enablement to sales, sales engineering, and partners.
  • Develop competitive assessments and creative collateral to position Sumo uniquely in the minds of security practitioners.
  • Evaluate and improve integrated campaigns with other businesses and teams across internal and partner ecosystems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in product management, partner marketing, product marketing, or sales engineering roles with complex SaaS offerings geared to DevOps audiences and product slant.
  • Knowledge of cloud, infrastructure, and observability ecosystems, specifically AWS.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security, cloud security, and threat detection.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to evangelize how Sumo excels at offerings for various IT Operations personas both internally and externally.
  • Highly technical ability to independently develop demos, webinars, videos, technical collateral, ROI/value-oriented assessments, etc.
  • Collaborative work style to learn from others and build upon their ideas.
  • Passion for driving product innovation and effectively communicating cross-functionally within Product Development, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Curiosity to learn the intricacies of Sumo Logic's business and adapt past experiences to Sumo Logic's current opportunities.
  • Technical undergraduate degree.

About the Role

This Senior Partner Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for providing strategic planning and tactical execution of content development, sales enablement, partner and customer engagement for the Sumo Logic Security portfolio. The successful candidate will bring a few years of security and observability domain experience along with product marketing and partner marketing experience.

About the Salary

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $161,000 - $218,000. Compensation varies based on factors including but not limited to role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in bonus or commission plans, as well as benefits offerings, and equity awards.
