Job Title: Health Information Manager

At Lourdes Health Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Information Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Health Information Management Department, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our health information management systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of patient records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and organize the Health Information Management Department to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Manage the daily operations of the department, including monitoring medical record information, developing and maintaining job descriptions, and completing performance evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain medical record policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate archiving and indexing of inactive patient records, and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of patient records.
  • Act as the Privacy Officer for the Network, performing privacy audits, responding to Value Lines requests, and approving access to Lourdes databases/systems.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management with national Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification.
  • Current knowledge in Health Information Management, including The Joint Commission (TJC), Department of Social Health Services (DOHS), Quality Regulatory Requirements, State and Federal regulations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
  • Preferred certification: Registered Health Information Administrator/Registered Health Information Technician or Certified Coding Specialist.
