We are currently seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on implementing quality strategies across various sites within the Aerospace Business Unit. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve and enhance established quality and delivery objectives, while also spearheading Systemic Corrective Actions across the Aerospace Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Value Stream and Site Quality Leaders to create and implement standardized practices for process enhancement.
  • Assist production sites and suppliers in resolving complex issues and implementing effective corrective actions through both onsite and virtual means.
  • Educate and support production teams on the effective application of Root Cause Corrective Action and 8D methodologies.
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing operations in assessing products and engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with various functions and business units, as well as with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, compile relevant data, and prepare reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fulfill responsibilities as outlined by the Quality Management System.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advanced degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR
  • In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
  • Proficient in problem-solving techniques such as 8D and RCCA.
  • Able to interpret engineering specifications (dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T).
  • Experience with inspection methodologies and techniques.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement principles (Six Sigma, lean, 5S, etc.).
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP core tools: PFD, PFMEA, PCP, MSA & SPC.
  • Experience in shop floor manufacturing and quality assurance practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Strategic Problem Solving in Red-X Strategies and/or Six Sigma.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS Access, and Project.
