Job Summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Systems Engineer to lead our Integration & Test and Field Service Teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical, physical, and operational compatibility of our complex systems to meet program technical, schedule, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Integration & Test and Field Service Engineers in ensuring system-level integration and test, and field service teams meet program objectives.
  • Responsible for the integration and test of electromechanical systems from design phase through development, documentation, installation, and sell-off.
  • Review and develop integration procedures for hardware, software, and facilities, ensuring physical and electrical compatibility of functional interfaces and first-article product integration.
  • Develop and implement system-level test plans, procedures, customer acceptance, and requirements analysis for testability approach to identify issues.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering to define Requirements Verification Matrices (RVMs) that balance capabilities, cost, and efficiency of verification.
  • Manage Cost Account Management (CAM) and statusing of multiple projects for I&T, and lead test working groups and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
  • Direct interface with Program Management, Chief Systems Engineer (CSE), and Customer regarding staffing, integration, verification, and installation planning.
  • Troubleshoot failures of tests and track issues through resolution, and identify risks and opportunities for specific test activities.
  • Evaluate and define test equipment requirements (RF hardware and software) needed for verification of system-level requirements.
  • Coordinate customer site surveys, training, installation, Site Acceptance Test, and all other on-site activities with the Program Manager and Field Engineers.
  • Ensure full compliance with L3Harris policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 15 years of prior related experience.
  • 9+ years experience as a Technical Team Lead/Integrated Project Team Lead (IPTL).
  • 7+ years experience with using high-speed digital and RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscope, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • 7+ years experience in RF or Digital engineering (MW MCAs, FPGAs, CCAs, PWBs, etc.) and troubleshooting techniques, tools, and process.
  • 5+ years experience supporting manufacturing production of electronic devices; preferably in the Radar Systems industry.
  • Prior experience generating presentations and briefing internal and external customers.
  • Prior experience executing throughout the full system lifecycle, including requirements flow down and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Team Lead, Cost Account Manager (CAM), Field Service Engineer, or similar role responsible for managing people, time, and labor budgets.
  • Excellent organization skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in Radar Systems or related industry, previous experience supporting DoD/government customers, military hardware environmental and electrical qualification.
  • Familiarity with Mil-STD 810g and Mil-STD 461g Testing and Analysis, experience with OSHA requirements and ESD best practices.
