The Service Center Interior Lead will be responsible for managing the workflow and scheduling priorities for the interior modification of aircraft. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in sheetmetal production and management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Workflow Management: Develop work schedules, estimates, and status reports to ensure timely and cost-effective fulfillment of delivery schedules.
  2. Team Leadership: Coordinate work assignments with other departments, work closely with engineering and contract administrators, and ensure all workmanship is of the highest quality.
  3. Quality Control: Implement and monitor a continuous quality program, enforce FOD regulations, and instruct personnel on good housekeeping practices.
  4. Training and Development: Instruct, coach, and assist subordinates in the interpretation of work procedures, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  5. Problem-Solving: Follow up and expedite corrective action in shop-controlled operations, such as workmanship, absenteeism, and similar factors that interfere with schedules and create discrepancies or rework.

Requirements

  1. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 5 years of Aircraft Interior experience required or equivalent.
  2. Licenses and Certifications: FAA A&P license or ability to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date.
  3. Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret engineering orders and blueprints, demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication skills, logical reasoning skills, self-discipline, and ability to adapt and implement new procedures.

Additional Information

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 40 pounds. The Service Center Interior Lead will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality workmanship and meeting delivery schedules.
